Betta (er) Days are coming

Scriptures: Jer. 29:14; 31:38-40; 32:15

Greetings "Fan"-tastic Passengers,

King Zedekiah of Israel frowned at the message of the prophet Jeremiah, regarding the nation of Israel’s imminent fall to the Babylonians.  As a result, the prophet Jeremiah, was bound, restrained and confined in the King’s dark prison.

Subsequently, from the depths of the prison, the prophet spoke, as God was with him, saying:  Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it” (Jer.32:7).

Of course, in the natural, God’s proposition to the prophet seemed contrary, to natural mind and to the laws of the land, as one may ask, “Why would one who is locked away in prison, with no hope of being released, bother to purchase land?

Nevertheless, in spite of the human skepticisms, the prophet took a big step of faith and obeyed the Word of the Lord and purchased the parcel of land.

The significance of Jeremiah purchasing the parcel of land from his cousin is that Judah, who has been long captive to the Babylonians, will in due season, rise again and possess the land and enjoy normal life in it.  God wanted His people, even though they were in a state of gloomy and seemingly hopeless captivity, to keep hope alive because in due season, they would be free again.  For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed” (Jer.32:15).

For the people of God today, as is written in 1 Peter 1:13, it is God's token of favour to you, that in your darkest moments of life, you should: “…gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” His tender voice is saying to you that: They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.  He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (Psa.126:5-6). Indeed, all the fragments and broken pieces of your heart, which occurred as a result of your captivity, He has mend and you will return from captivity, with rejoicing, bringing them with you, to be used as a witness of His grace, mercy and love for humanity.

I encourage your heart today, to know that no matter how dark and hopeless your dungeon of struggles may seem, the Lord God who made the heaven and the earth by His great power and stretched out arm, there is nothing too hard for Him to do for you.  He wants you to confidently, keep hope alive knowing that “Betta (er) Days are Coming.”  God is saying to you today, the situations by which you are held captive, sickness, financial predicament, loss of loved ones, disappointments, for example, He will turn again your captivity, even as He did for His servant Job and give you double the blessings, for all the trouble that you have gone through (Job 42:10).

I pray today that you will be encouraged and take the name of Jesus with you, knowing that:

“God who has shown His loving kindness unto thousands, and recompensed the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name.  The one who is Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for His eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings,” (Jer.32:18-19).  He will help you and supernaturally cause you to see, “Betta (er) Days,” In Jesus’ name. Amen!
Stay strong! Stay encouraged!
