Many nations and even on an individual basis, when faced with a storm of life, may asks the question, ‘Where is Jesus or God, in all of this chaos? While God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance in Him. He is the God of all Creation, who loves and cares about you very much. Therefore, He will use the storm, to show you His mighty works and wonders, as He accomplish His purposes in all creation (2 Peter 3:8-10).
Matthew 14:23-24 tells us that, the disciples of Jesus were in a ship, and caught in a storm in the midst of the sea. While all this chaos was taking place in their lives and as they were being tossed to and fro, with the waves and contrary winds, that, Jesus, “…went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.”
His prayer for His children is that, during the storms of life, their faith in Him will remain strong.
Jesus prayed for Peter’s faith not to fail during his stormy, sifting season which was imminent in his life (Luke 22:32).
He is doing the same for you today.
It is Jesus’ on-going prayer for His followers that sustain their faith to endure patiently and persevere, amidst life’s trials (John 17:15; Heb. 9:23-28).
Where is Jesus during your storm?
He is seated at the right hand of God the Father in heaven, making intercession for you.
